Welcome to the United Utilities Trust Fund portal.
If you are a United Utilities customer experiencing financial hardship and unable to pay, you can apply to the United Utilities Trust Fund for support. The United Utilities Trust Fund (UUTF) is an independent charitable Trust (registered Charity number 1108296), funded by donations from United Utilities.

How the United Utilities Trust Fund can support you
The Trust can help with:
- United Utilities Trust Fund can consider making a grant to meet water and/or sewerage charges due to United Utilities Water if you are in hardship and unable to pay.
- In certain cases, the Trust can also consider helping with essential items you may need such as white goods and beds; however, this is limited to one item per applicant. Items include electric cookers, washing machines, fridge-freezers, tumble dryers, air fryers, microwaves, slow cookers, and beds
- In certain cases, the Trust can also consider helping with Bankruptcy fees. This online form cannot be used to apply for Bankruptcy fee's, please email contact@uutf.org.uk to request the Bankruptcy form.
The Trust cannot help with:
- Household bills such as gas/electricity or rent arrears.
- Court fines, catalogue debts, credit cards, personal loans or other forms of borrowing.
- Social Fund Loans/Benefit over payments/Tax Credit over payments now being reclaimed.
- The Trust cannot give you a loan or give help with bills you have already paid or items that you have already bought.

When we receive your application
When we receive your application, you will be given a unique reference number. Please quote this reference number if you need to contact us. As part of our assessment process, you may receive a telephone call, email or SMS message. Where we identify that you may need additional financial support, your details will be passed to Auriga Services, who will contact you to offer free and impartial welfare benefits and debt advice.
If the Trust can help with your water/sewerage charges, a payment will be made directly to your United Utilities account. We will confirm our decision in writing by email or letter.
If we can help with other essential household items, payment will be made directly to our designated retailer. We will confirm our decision in writing by email or letter.
If we are unable to help with either type of payment, we will let you know in writing by email or letter.
Applications may take up to five weeks to be processed.

Applying to the Trust Fund again
The Trust will not normally consider more than one application from the same person. One of the Trust's aims is to help people out of immediate financial difficulties and wherever possible through debt counselling/money advice to encourage and help financial stability in the future.
If after a period of two years since being given a grant, your financial situation has deteriorated further, you may make another application to the Trust.
If the Trust is not able to give you a grant, you may apply again after six months.
